Here are rules to follow for candle use: 1. Always place a lit candle on a heat resistant surface.
2. NEVER leave a candle lit unattended, they get lonely.
3. Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each use.
4. If a candle is burning and giving off black smoke blow it out, let the wax harden, then trim the wick to ¼ inch.
5. Never burn a candle more than 3 hours.
6. Do not burn the candle where there is a draft.
7. Keep the candle free from foreign objects.
8. Stop use when the wax is down to ¼ inch left in the jar.
